The first one was alright, so I decided to make a better version. Materials: 3/8" ID flat stainless steel rings from TRL, a few 19g 3/16" ID stainless rings to hold the outer loops together, leather from a scrap bin at Tandy, Suede laces, and Nickel grommets.
Weave: Captive Inverted Round Maille, with varying amounts of captive rings to allow different radius bends. Size is just less than 8" diameter, it is very rigid and holds its shape when holding it up just by the outer ring.
